For its 2008 Annual Report, First Gen focuses on sustainability as the thematic concept. To illustrate this theme, I designed a continuous cover from front to back done in an upbeat shade of green with a photo of two kids to highlight the concept of creating values rooted in environmentalism and care for the planet to be passed on to the next generation.

The inside pages carry the same color theme with large typography used for headers. The use of this particular shade of green is deliberate in order to evoke images of nature and the company’s colors. Customized diagrams, charts, and tables are also designed to efficiently explain data, with a minimalist approach to avoid information overload. Typography is also utilized to highlight specific messages by creatively alternating between size and color.
